English for Beginners
Beginning elementary English for adults
Learn basic English. Enjoy learning English.
This class is for beginners and those with only a little knowledge of English. In this class we will build a basic knowledge of practical English focusing on vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation. We will also learn and practice basic listening and speaking ability, discussing everyday objects and actions, making and practicing simple sentences. The goal of this class is to raise students’ ability to listen and speak English in realistic and enjoyable situations.

Course Instructor
Charles Laurier
Charles Laurier teaches Art History at Lakeland University Japan Campus. He has taught English conversation, grammar, and reading and writing in various positions in Japan over the past 20 years. His lessons take the active learning approach with students using English in interesting and realistic situations.
